Goal Keeping Clinic

Are you a goalkeeper after a little extra coaching to start the season or maybe a goalkeeping coach wanting to learn some new coaching skills?
There is a goal keeping clinic to be held at HAW March 15th @ 9am. The clinic will run for 1 1/2 hours.
There will be two clinics running simultaneously.
One will be for those who have not kept before or those that have only been a GK for one year. This will be run by a Division 1 mens keeper who used to keep for Spitfires, and a young lady who was the Victorian U13 keeper.
The second clinic will be for those with more experience and will be run by our current men's Spitfires keeper and the current Australian Country women's keeper.
This is a great opportunity to learn from those who have played at very high levels.
To take part you must be a financial member with Hockey Victoria for 2020.
Nominations are to be submitted by 5pm on Sunday 8 March on this form https://forms.gle/xVck3EMRrWtuYiyb6.

*coaches wanting to observe will attend for free and Falcons Hockey Club will pay for any of their goalkeepers who would like to attend.

Coaching Clinic

Coaching Clinic Opportunity -

HAW are pleased to announce that Lil Mutton (HACT High Performance Pathway Coach and Coordinator) and Jesse Beeson (HACT Development Officer) will be visiting us in a couple of weeks to run a series of coaching seminars. These sessions will run as follows:

· On Friday afternoon (the 20th) from 4.30 to 6.00 there will be a customised coaching Q &A. This will be a session where the coaches will answer pre-submitted questions about coaching, training sessions, tactics etc.

· After that session, from 6.30, we will run a session for our less experienced coaches, and those who are coaching younger grades. This session will be based around running a training session while ensuring that all players are interested, motivated, and most importantly improving their hockey skills. Pizzas will be provided.

· The following morning, from 8.30 to 10.00, we will be running a more advanced session for those coaches with more experience, or those who are coaching senior grades, especially Div. 1 and 2. This session will focus on more advanced tactics, as well as how your training sessions should change and develop over the length of the season.

· The cost for senior coaches will be $25 per person, while coaches of junior teams will have their attendance paid for by sponsorship by the Commercial Club.

Please comment below if you would like to attend.
